Thanks Sean, that's a good photo. If you zoom in you can see the tram tracks curving off to the left. The road that runs off to the right is Leighton Road (named Leighton Hill Road at that time).

One will also note that the tram tracks on this section of road to/from the Happy Valley race course was double-lined. See here
