In later years, it was more fashionable to call this area of Kowloon as Kowloon Tong rather than Kowloon Tsai. Entrance to the army blocks were via the old Beacon Hill Road and Pilgrim's Way.

Shaffi's (the Curry Restaurant) in Sek Kong Barracks had an outlet at the quarters.

The buildings were knocked down in about 2002 and became upmarket One Beacon Hill.
