Thanks very much for sharing these photos. Please could you let us know when they were taken? I'd also be interested to hear any background about when you were there, and what you were working on.

Regards, David

PS If you're scanning any more photos, it'll be worth checking the scanner's  manual to see how to crop the scans to only capture the photo area. That will cut off the big white border around the photos, and also give you smaller files.

I was the RAF Policeman mentioned in Sgt Fowlers entry. As regards work I played cricket for Mount Davis, the RAF. Combined Services and the Hong Kong mainland. The rest of my time was working double shifts to make up for time off to play cricket. I was on duty when the aerial blew down in the typhoon. A lot of windowws were blown in. We were the only ones allowed outside. I thought it was pretty excing at the time. Now I doubt I would have been excited, more frightened. As regards the scanner. I have cropped then in picasa 3. However I could not attach for some reason. Stephen

Thanks Stephen, I'll give them a date of 1957.

Regards, David

The first photo shows 1937 instead of 1957. I can't find how to alter that date, regards Stephen

My mistake - I've corrected it.
