30 Severn Road The Peak

30 Severn Road The Peak

We decided to have our Family Photo in PJs for a difference.

The marble fire place had the emblem of VR engraved in the middle, said to have been relocated from the old Legco chamber.  It was coal-burning, but it worked well with logs too.

We had a tall blue spruce from Canada as our Christmas tree every year - compliment of CPAir for my uncle's travel agency; that was the only house with a high enough ceiling to accommodate it.

Hi Lawrence,

Thanks for all the information & photos you are posting for us to see.

I made a couple of small edits to this one -

Which one are you in the photo above?

regards, David

Thanks David for the tips on the tags.  I'm the first one on the left with a black top sitting behind the armchair where the picture was scribbled.  We took various ones taking up different positions.

The names of the house were no longer shown anywhere when we were living there, but father mentioned them to us.

The previous tenant, Mrs. Baron, wife of the Director of Social Welfare, was an artist.  She did the wall mural of the Way of the Cross at the chapel of Wah Yan College Hong Kong, left behind many colourful tiles, but we did not know what to do with them!
