That's a good photo, thanks for posting. Please could you let us know which collection it belongs to, or which website?
I guess the road in the foreground is the old Praya East, or today's Hennessy Road? If that's true, the bend to the right in the distance would be somewhere near today's junction with Lee Garden Road.
I note the PRO give a different date, 1868, for the photo. See "6 Photograph 01-08-212" at http://gwulo.com/node/6257
