King's Theatre
The photo was taken on 18 August 1941 close to the junction of Queen's Road Central and Wyndham St. The building behind the bus is Shell House with King's Theatre on the right. The Theatre's billboard showing the film titled "The Devil and Miss Jones", starring Jean Arthur, was screened between 15 and 18 August 1941.
The China Mail's newspaper headlines on the pillar also provides confirnation of the date.
