Former Tai Po Police Station 1901

I was there last year and can tell you that most of the land in front (except the area where the flagpole is - which is still flat ground) has been totally excavated away.

The path where the cameraman is standing now follows roughly the same route but slopes downwards - dropping down as you move towards the camera.

Now I wonder why they got rid of so much of the hill? Perhaps used for reclamation?
