I have a copy of the book The Commission of HMS Terrible that was given to my grandfather in 1902. He was very short and is in the above photo. He is the horizontal bar of the 'H'.

My grandfather was Frank Hayles, born on 10 January 1880 at Niton in the Isle of Wight. His rank on HMS Terrible was Able Seaman.
