When was the new Star Ferry completed?  When I arrived in HKG January 1956 the Ferry still still moored opposite what is now Mandarin Hotel.

See here The Central Star Ferry Pier (3rd location) commenced operation on 15 December 1957. The Star Ferry Annual Report for 1957 confirms the date.
