Kennedy Town, Dragon boat races

Kennedy Town, Dragon boat races
Authors:

In the 1950s, the dragon boats were made of wooden planks and were probably two or possibly three times the length of the modern ones.

I believe these races were held at what was or had been a swimming place.  I often wonder if any of those original wooden and very long 40 or more seat dragon boats are still around.  The last one I saw was beached on Chueng Chau, probably in 1981.
