In 1958 there was still a magnificent view from the War Cemetery over to Junk Bay. I believe that's why the cemetery was built on that spur overlooking Chai Wan.
In 1987, the entrance to the cemetery hadn't changed but the buildings in Chai Wan were already hiding the view.
