Slipways at the North end of the harbour. The shipyard was moved a bit further out into the harbour when the Pai Chong road was built.
These slipways have now become the boatyard that features in David's new Walk Round Cheung Chau although, as stated above, the boatyard is now on reclaimed land.
This 1987 photograph shows the same boat yard, now sited on land reclaimed from the harbour.
