Colin writes a letter home. Mail usually took four or five days to reach us. Hong Kong was designated as British Forces Post Office 1 (BFPO 1) and it's possible that, because of the distance from the U.K., our mail had some sort of priority. Occasionally we got letters posted only a day or so previously.
