I suspect that the trams' old green colour scheme is now something of a rarity.  Advertising was still rather simple. The modern 'full-tram' advertisements are certainly eye-catching.  Does the sign behind the tram read 'Cause' way Plaza?

Queensway Plaza.

Thank you Moddsey. It's good to have you people with such excellent local knowledge. Andrew

We don't have no. 44 as it pronounced 'sei' (dead in Chinese) which means unlucky. 165 swapped this unlucky number.

Hi Joseph

That's an interesting insight into lucky and unlucky numbers. Judging by how crowded that tram was, either the passengers didn't read its number, or they were in a big hurry, or maybe they just  liked to live dangerously!   I have a feeling that 5 and 7 are also numbers that are not auspicious. The only number that is unlucky in the Western  tradition is 13.  It's supposedly because the 13th person to sit down at the Last Supper was the man who betrayed Jesus.  It's a funny old world!

 Regards Andrew
