Can I create a fade map with this image to match the mail Gwulo map?

If you just want to show this section, then I recommend you use an image editor like Photoshop to overlay it and make it transparent to show it against the background of a modern map.

If you have the whole map available and want to add it as a new layer to the master map, please let me know. I'm currently working on adding a new layer and can write up a how-to at the end.

PS Burnbank Villa as a 1914 building doesn't belong in the Places Shown for an 1888 map - the building must be shown in the image, and so must be contemporary. If you want to link them together please include the map in the notes or comments for Burnbank Villa.
