Built as PROMINENT at Hong Kong & Whampoa Dock Co. Ltd, Hong Kong for Furness, Withy & Co. Ltd, Hong Kong as nominees for D/S A/S Produce (Hans Kiær & Co. A/S), Drammen. Launched in August. 
The company D/S A/S Produce including ships was sold 22/10 to H. M. Wrangell & Co. A/S, Haugesund. 
1918 Delivered in February.
1938 The company D/S A/S Produce including ships was sold in January Jacob Odland SS, Haugesund.
1940 Nortraship became managers in April.
1942 Sunk by gunfire 02/03 by Japanese warships abt. 230 nm south of Java, Indonesia whilst on a voyage from Tjilatjap, Java to Fremantle, WA, Australia. 14 persons lost. The survivors were saved by the Nederland passenger vessel ZAANDAM.
