HK Daily Press 4 September and HK Telegraph 11 September 1928.

The forner flagship of the China Station, HMS Hawkins entered Whampoa Dock on 4 September for examination of underwater fittings etc before leaving Hong Kong on 11 September to return Home. HMS Kent replaced the Hawkins as flagship.
