I took this photo, dated March 1958. The infield of the track has games of football being played on it yet the grandstands appear nearly full, surely not a race day at the same time?

I've just been looking through the photos of the racecourse (https://gwulo.com/node/3384/photos). I can see several with groups of people inside the racecourse and in the stands, so it looks to have been a regular occurrence.
