Another older R.A.F. tradition was that the officers and senior N.C.O.s would serve Christmas dinner to the corporals and other ranks. The Commanding Officer, in this case Squadron Leader Imrie, is delivering his Christmas greetings, hopefully laced with suitable forces humour.
