On the back of this photo (which was sent back home to family in the Netherlands by my grandparents) my grandmother had written the following (in Dutch): "Family De Kant and Piet on the balustrade of the bridge over the big water reservoir Tai-Tam-Tuk. Hongkong, November 1925". Piet is my grandfather Pieter Marks, and the De Kant family are Pieter Julius de Kant, employed by the Nederlandsch-Indische Handelsbank like my grandfather, and his wife Kitty Rachel De Kant - Ricardo.
