This is a much earlier building than the ones that we used to visit in the 1950s. Does anyone know when it was demolished - or was it destroyed in a typhoon?

Hi There,

That is actually a Christian establishment called Tao Fung Shan. It is still there.  There is a Wiki entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tao_Fong_Shan

It had also been featured in movies.

Hi Andrew,

Their Wiki entry has this line:

  • The Chapel (known as The Christ Temple) is an octagonal structure; Sunday Worship is available in the building.

That seemed to be the one in the photo.
