In the 1950s, flying was basically a new experience for most people, so the R.A.F. produced the information in the small booklet on the following pages to make sure that all personnel about to fly knew exactly what to do and to expect. I hope that the print is large and clear enough for you to read - it illustrates just how naive people were in those days! It is dated as for my own flight out by B.O.AC. on 20 October 1957. We landed on the original runway at Kai Tak in the early morning of 24 October, three and a half days later.
