These steps led down from the road to what was probably an observation post connected with the Cape Collinson battery. In 1958, when I too went down those steps, they were easy to find as the vegetation was quite low. A recent comment by C on Saturday 2018-11-03 suggested that the roof had collapsed during Typhoon Mangkhut. (Andrew S)
