Brian, like quite a few others over the years, became a keen amateur radio 'ham'. The radio shack was in a small room at the top of the staircase leading to the N.A.A.F.I..  The QSL cards were exchanged with other 'hams' all over the world. (Andrew S)

Yes, it’s the same person and Jim is a friend who was also in the now closed down 367 Association. Andrew
