This photograph of the wing renovated by Ken and Olga was taken by one of Ken's friends, John Dudley. Ken told me that one evening Olga and he were sitting in the garden overlooking the sea, and Olga went inside to make a drink. He heard a loud scream and rushed inside to find Olga backing away from a large King Cobra that had already killed their small dog. If the dog had not preceded Olga into the lounge she would have been the one to be bitten. Snakes were quite common in the large gardens in out of town locations, and could easily move inside.
