Probably Aberdeen south of Ap Lei Chau with the power station on the left.

 A good guess! I should have given the precise location. The Kaising is moored off the western end of Stonecutters Island with Tsing Yi power station and oil depot in the background. Photo taken from the HK-Tsuen Wan ferry. Ships like the Kaising were often moored in this location for repairs and painting by the Yiu Lian Dockyards Co. a wholly owned subsidiary of China Merchants Holdings Co Ltd.
