Description:

Colonel Takunada, holding his trousers up because his belt was taken to prevent running, infamous Commandant of the POW camps in Hong Kong being taken back to gaol after he had been charged with being a war criminal. Known to the prisoners as "The fat, near white Pig", he is being held in a Civil Gaol pending investigations.

Is this one of the doors of the Peninsula Hotel? The stonework to the side of the doorway looks similar to this modern view:
