BMH was the British Military
BMH was the British Military Hospital, so he may have had a spell in hospital during his time in HK.

Caine House
Just to clarify. BMH isn't shown in this pic. The large light coloured building on the waterfront is Caine House - part of Police Headquarters (PHQ). The photograph may well have been taken from BMH given the position in relation to, distance from and height above Caine House.
