Wonderful photos of Empire Fowey
I travelled with my Mum, at the age of 2, out to Libya on the Empire Fowey in 1952 to join my Dad who had just been posted from Ismailia, Egypt to Tripoli, Libya. Nice to see some photos of her & hear that she went out to Hong Kong. I have the postcard from 1952 of her. When we all went out to Hong Kong in 1959 Empire Fowey presumably had retired as we went on the Nevasa. The Oxfordshire was the other troopship operating to HK by then.
