In December 2004, I re-visited the pill boxes JLO1 and 2 which straddle the water catchment on the west flank of Jardines Lookout. I took my light lunch break in what seemed to be a shelter used for picnics. This was on the flat, open area reputed to be the site of Matheson's bungalow. In the background pill box JLO 1 with its turret quite prominent can be seen very close by.
My next photograph was taken in late 2002 and I include this to show the crudely scratched inscription that I noticed in the top of the turret.
