Hi There,

The interior  and a small part of the exterior looked like brickwork to me.   Maybe the exterior was paved over?

I believe so ... cement was probably sprayed or wiped on the outside.

The size and shape of the inside are different from the outlook, it seems that the "wings" on both sides are only buttresses. 

 

The extended wing-like structures on both sides reminded me of those at Bokhara Battery, Cape D'Aguilar, yet this one is smaller in size.

This structure reminds me of the crypt in the Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb.
