30-32 Des Voeux Road
The location of the building has been identified as 30-32 Des Voeux Road Central. At the time when the photo was taken, Des Voeux Road was at the praya. Reclamation in this area (Section No. 6, Praya Reclamation) started in 1895 and was finished in 1899. So the date should be before 1895 or 1896. The was a typhoon on July 29th, 1896 that would fit.
