1935 Silver Jubilee Illuminations
Panoramic view of the Illuminations at Praya Central. The well-lit building on the left is the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Building. On closer inspection, the Illuminations should be from 1935 as the roof of the HSBC does not appear to be completed. In the 1937 Coronation Illuminations, there were two well-lit crowns on the roof of the HSBC Building as shown here

Your identification has blown my mind. I am astonished that you have managed to work out from my poor scan of a photograph that the illuminations are 1935. I was also impressed to see the 1937 version of the building with crowns on the top. So many thanks
