Windsor House, Causeway Bay - Hongkong Land started construction in March 1978. A topping out ceremony in July 1979 marked the completion of the 41-level office and shopping superstructure. HK$96 million Windsor House was located on the site of the old Dairy Farm cold stores in Great George Street, Causeway Bay. The property was eventually sold in 1987 as part of the company's restructring.

Note that in November 1976 Hongkong Land launched a successful takeover bid for Dairy Farm thus releasing land for Hongkong Land development, while allowing Dairy Farm to maintain independent operations. Several key sites across Hong Kong were developed from this acqusition of Dairy Farm the largest being the HK$600 million Housing development township at Pokfulam, Ch Fu Yuen built on the seven hectares of the gentle slopes previosly used as grazzing grounds for Dairy Farm cows.
