I think this would be the #6 Police Station just below the Austin Arms Hotel.

Correct. So I'll split the difference between Chu Wan and the Peak Tram house. There is a photo showing the Chu Wan site in the 1950s photos, but I'm not sure how to post it on this page.

On completion of the Peak Police Station at Mount Gough, which replaced the No. 6 Police Station at Victoria Gap, the latter was re-designated as quarters for police officers stationed at the Peak Police Station.

Hong Kong Police Magazine Vol. X No. 4 1960
The original building was in use till 1887 after being replaced by the Peak Police Station at Mt. Gough. It was later used as police quarters for single men but was abandoned in the 1930s. The building was demolished in 1954.
