Re: Braking Parachutes
Mind you, these photos were taken pre-1958 before the reclaimed runway at Kai Tak was opened. Considering that the two runways in operation at the time were much shorter in length, the use of braking parachutes as a means of deceleration was not an uncommon occurrence.
