An identical Associated Press photo appears on a major auction site. It is dated 1/8/1941 for a release date on January 27. The photo is credited to Foreman (sic). Could this photo have been taken in January or August 1941?

That's a good find. I'll vote for January, given that the boy in the photo is wearing a jacket.
