This may be just another tourist picture but I wonder if it is the start of a building project somewhere in HK? Any ideas welcome. Found in the family archives again.
Thanks,
Sean

Re: Building
This photo was taken in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It is a photo of Blackhead Point and Signal Hill with the Time Ball Tower (built in 1907) on top.
The photographer would probably have been standing at today's corner of Nathan Road and Salisbury Road. The year would be around 1910. Looks like before the construction of the Kowloon Canton Railway.
Signal Hill - Retaining Wall
From Salisbury Road, it is no longer possible to see the retaining wall which is part of my HK memories. It may not be the highest retaining wall in HK but it is impressive that they built things that can withstand the test of time. I assume it still stands intact not affected by adjacent constructions.
