The images in the website will work on a mac with a web browser. Because Flash does not work on the iOS browsers. Flash is required to view the zoomable content of the images. (Apple vs Adobe information can be found in Steve Jobs letter that was on the apple site a few months ago).
HTML 5 will overcome this but it is not as straightforward as it might seem, since a lot of 3rd party software will have to be upgraded and tested before it can be implemented.
I believe those photos being posted as HTML links as well as Google Maps could be able to be display on Apple IOS devices. Just like my Android 2.1 phone, Zoomify does not work for it as well. But other HTML or external photos were and Google Maps were alright.
If you're using one of those, please could you let me know if the top map on this page works for you ok? ie can you see it, scroll around, and zoom in & out?
I'm on Motorola Milestone Android 2.1 with built-in browser and I was able to view and use the top map you mentioned. Might take a few more months for Motorola to get their Android 2.2 upgrade to be available to current users.
I was also able to view the newly posted Gammon Building photo. I would be unable to view anythong photo with Zoomify embeeded.
I've spent some time looking into this, and I think I have it working now.
If you're using an iPhone / iPad, or anything else that usually can't view images, please could you try viewing this photo and let me know if you can see it ok?
If you can, you should be able to see any of the photos on this site. Note that you still won't get the zoom facility until you use a browser that supports Flash, but at least you can see what we're talking about.
If you still see it has any problems, please let me know.
It doesn't look as though Mr Jobs is going to change his mind about supporting Flash on the iPhone, so we're unlikely to see the zoom feature in the near future. I'll keep a look out for solutions though,
re: Image couldn't be viewed by iphone/ipad
HF, unfortunately it's not a simple fix, so nothing I can put right immediately.
I'll have a closer look at it once I've finished the current maps project, probably 4-6 weeks later.

re: Android
Thanks Thomas, the map viewer is built using javascript, so hopefully that works on Apple too.
