Actually the building in the photo with the tower is Government House (looking south) which is not on Kowloon but on Hong Kong Island. Looks like taken from the junction of Queen's Road Central and Ice House Street.

Many thanks.  I just have to go on the page titles in my husband's album and this one, with these four photos,  has Kowloon written in.  Have to say that I have now looked at so many photos on the site that I had a feeling that this was Government House so thanks again for putting me right!
