A little slow in catching up with this one. The photo shows an Anti Aircraft Light Machine Gun (AALMG) position. Originally, there would have been a circular rod protruding from the top of the central concrete block, which formed the swivel mounting for (mostly) a Lewis gun. These were the anti aircraft protection for a multitude of fixed sites throughout the Island and Mainland.
