Above is a view from the old track across the valley where the new shorter access road up to the Tai Mo Shan site was being built as the old track was deemed to be dangerous and beyond repair.

Hi there,

I wonder if the old track means the one going down hill from present day YHA hostel to Chuen Lung by way of Heung Shek Cemetery.

Hi Thomas, Yes, I think that's the one. When I walked along it I couldn't understand why the road has been built to such a standard, when nothing drives along it. Now we know!
