Ground rice for Mary.

Tasted real potatoes, first time in 2 yrs today.

Wrote music aft.

In Mr Jones' diary he mentions 'real potatoes' - I think he means ordinary potatoes, as opposed to sweet potatoes which often appeared in the rations.  In fact, on the very rare occasions when we had 'real potatoes', I found them rather tasteless compared to sweet potatoes.
