I cannot place this, although I have a suspicion that it might be at one of the entrances to the Yau Ma Ti typhoon shelter. Wrong! Thanks to several of you for identifying the location. The title has now been amended.

Aberdeen
Perhaps this was taken from Aberdeen Harbour looking north towards Mt Kellet?
Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for the suggestion. It's possible but was there a breakwater at the N end of Aberdeen harbour? Anyone else have any thoughts?
Re: Aberdeen typhoon Shelter
Hi there,
there are breakwaters at both ends of the shelter. One on the western end and two on the eastern end. You were probably on a boat between the two breakwaters at the South-Eastern end of Apleichau.
On the other hand, the skyline and the residential towers matches Mount Kellet and Aberdeen resepctively.
Thanks & Best Regards,

Aberdeen Harbour
I agree with PhilK and Tom that this is Aberdeen Harbour and was taken at the eastern entrance, the one nearest to Ocean Park, looking generally north. The bridge from Aberdeen over to Ap Lei Chau can be seen. The distant ridgeline has Mount Kellett on the left and Mount Gough on the right.
Thank you everyone. If I'd
Thank you everyone. If I'd zoomed in on the photograph I'd have seen the bridge! I'll suitably amend the title. If I'd had more confidence that I scanned my old slides in the correct chronological order a few years ago the photographs could be relied upon to be in a sensible order as the tourist 'junk' progressed.
