As many readers have known, Peninsula Hotel had occupied by Japanese Military during from 1942 to 1945.
And in the term, the name of the hotel was changed “TOA Hotel” ( East Asia Hotel in Japanese). They used this hotel for Japanese Military and the building had discharged as “General Headquarters”.
The photo above was the box of matches provided to Japanese officers who have the right to use the hotel in Hong Kong.
