Rose Shea was a Chinese Australian and her maiden name was Rose Valda Lee.  In Hong Kong she married William Shea, the son of Eurasian Paul Samuel Shea (She Po Sham) whose father was Frederik Schjoth, a Norwegian who worked for the Chinese Maritime Customs and before retirement was Commissioner at Ningpo.
