I wonder if Gordon could verify that Bill Eardley was Greta's husband. I knew a Bill Eardley who was a chief engineer on one of Jardines ships that I was also sailing on. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply, Gordon. Perhaps Bill and Greta might have been siblings. Bill is the one that interests me because he played a small part in my life and is mentioned in my memoirs because of this. Bill was chief engineer on the first ship I ever worked on; this took place in 1952.
