James Francis Wright
Here is a page that I did on him nearly a decade ago: http://www.thesilverbowl.com/biographies/Wright_MenaryM.htm.
He was also in the Boer War, and I have copies of the transcription of his diary. On his marriage certificate, Thomas Jackson and Robert Thomas Wright (both of HSBC) were both witnesses. His wife, Mary MENARY was residing at No. 2 St. John's Place, the home of her uncle, Sir Thomas Jackson. By the time of the birth of their son in the following year, he was in Manilla working as a stockbroker.
In 1917, he and Mary moved into Gilford Castle in Co. Down in the nineteen teens (a home that is still in the family - and I will be there in a couple of weeks). They had returned from Hong Kong in 1916. See: http://www.thesilverbowl.com/letters/1916Mar15.htm
His son James Francis Wright (b 30 Dec 1902 at Peak Hospital - bap St John's Cathedral, Victoria, Hong Kong)) was a stock broker living at Repulse Bay Hotel, Hong Kong at the time of his marriage to Doris Mary Brandt (Sept 1, 1927, Hong Kong). I believe that he was invoved in setting up a stock exchange (or else his father was) - I need to check notes that I do not have with me right now. He resigned from the Hongkong Voluteer Defence Corps Oct 3, 1939 (was a captain), and served in the RAF as a Wing Commander. He then became Deputy Lieutenant for Co.Down.

In my revious comment, I was wrong about his involvement in the stock exchange. That was his nephew's doing. SEE: Andrew Hugh Gilmore JACKSON: http://www.thesilverbowl.com/biographies/Jackson_AHG.html
Wedding
The wedding was very low-key. They inserted a brief announcement in The Hong Kong Telegraph, 1902-04-02, and The Hong Kong Weekly Press, 1902-04-07:
MARRIAGE
On the 2nd April, at S. John's Cathedral, Hongkong, by the Rev. G. A. Bunbury, JAMES FRANCIS WRIGHT of Ballinode, Co. Monaghan, Ireland, to MARY, daughter of the late WM. MENARY, of Maghery, Co. Armagh, Ireland.
But it didn't seem to get a mention in the following days' newspapers. Had either of them been married before? That's one reason I've seen for minimal coverage of a wedding.
Wedding of James Francis Wright
No previous marriages. The wedding photo makes it look all very posh, and lots of people there.
