Looking for historic spaces for a photographic installation

hi, I am looking for a space to install a photographic installation in HK of anAmerican photographer. Previous installations have been in an unused pumping station in London and an abandoned train station in Singapore. Large open space not open to the weather. I know HK is very difficult to find space in but I thought the folks that visit this amazing site understand more about the "inside" of HK.

What brought me here was a comment on a site regarding the old State Theatre - pretty sure that space is not possible but I wanted to put it out there.

Thanks!

Here are some old buildings I can think of where I've gone to see exhibitions:

For more unusual locations, HKURBEX might give some ideas: https://www.facebook.com/hkurbex

Out on Victoria Road the MTR excavated a tunnel into the hill for the explosives store. Looks like it's not used any more, but no idea on size:

Hong Kong has a bunch of unused schools: http://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/education-community/article/1880158/w...

No other big, unused buildings in relatively easy-to-get-to places spring to mind, but I'll leave a note if I think of more. Anyone else got ideas?

Please let us know what you end up using.

Regards, David

The government offers their unused old buildings that they offer up in batches for "revitalisation". The latest batch is shown at http://www.heritage.gov.hk/en/rhbtp/buildings4.htm

Buildings that have already been revitalised could be locations, or their internal list of buildings for future phases might have something that fits the bill.

Awesome!  These are great. I've sent them along to the fellow heading to HK tomorrow.

Thank you!

Thanks for these David, I have a location guy heading to HK tomorrow to follow up on these and some others.

Do you know anyone who knows about the current owners of, or a contact at the old State Theatre?

Thanks, Jeff

Can my location guy reach out to you today? Charlie Borradaile. 917 8251433

he is looking at our options and wanted to know if you had any friends in the ministry that could help us with some of the buildings you sent me.

Thanks!!!!!    Jeff Streeper. 9176805109.

Sorry Jeff, I don't have any contacts there, just what I see on the web.
