HMS Victorious
I was on the Victorious when she steamed into Hong Kong harbour. Is it possible to obtain a copy of this photograph?
Thanks.
Bob
HMS Victorious
Super cool! Must have been a very unique time, post war in HK. I wish I could have seen it then.
Unfortunately, this is not my photo. I got it online from a HK history page on my Facebook. It also appears on a google search of 'HMS Victorious Hong Kong'. I do not own any rights to this photo (it appears to be in the public domain), so you could definitely transfer it to your device digitally. If you want a hardcopy, the only thing I can recommend is that you get it printed with professional quality.
This link here says that this photo can be used non-commercially, and gives more photos of HMS Victorious (at the bottom of the page)

I also seem to have found the son of the man who took some similar photos however. He appears to have an account on flickr:

Sidenote- Do you have any recollections of entering the harbour? I would love to hear any memories you might have or cool stories in general.

Thanks for your reply and information. I don't know why I didn't think of it before. I was a young teemager at the time and I had a great time, together with other passengers returning to HK from England in 1946.
